To this end the models are cast in pewter which is both lighter and stronger then white metal. Unlike white metal, pewter allows the use of the finer, more restrained surface detail which is appropriate to smaller models. In addition, all their models feature aerofoil wing sections and fine tail surfaces.
Data sheets giving details of the original aircrafts performance, as well as painting instructions, are available. If however you wish to leave the model unpainted, the pewter can can be highly polished.
The lists below contain the range of Leading Edge Miniatures. By selecting a range, the list of available figures will appear (this may take about 15-20 seconds due to their size). If you want to look for a figure by period or scale then visit our wargames shopfront.
* Please note, some of the models have separate parts, these can be assembled using an epoxy resin, a superglue or soldered using a low temperature solder.
